About

I am an amateur photographer living in South Africa. By day I’m a bit of a nerd working as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch whilst finishing up my PhD in Development Economics. By night I bake, do yoga, take my dogs for walks in the mountains and play boardgames. I love using film for all of my photography. All photos (except otherwise indicated) on this blog were taken by me using on of my vintage film cameras, my favourite being a Pentax Honeywell, the first film camera I ever bought. So please, remember to give credit where credit is deserved. I hope you enjoy looking around :)

  3. You are quite awesomesauce yourself. I adore all of your pictures! I’m curious to hear what brought you to South Africa? I’ve been thinking of studying abroad and always had South Africa in Johannesburg in the back of my mind.

I actually live in South Africa (born and raised) and study abroad in Amsterdam for a few months a year. Johannesburg is an amazing city, so much good energy. I’ve been living there for the past 9 months and am loving it!
